Fundraising

Fundraising · Alberta groups

Three ways to raise money with Alberta beef jerky.

Every bag sells for $10 and your group keeps up to $4 of it. Since 2018 we've run fundraisers for teams, schools and clubs right across Alberta. Pick whichever format suits how your group likes to work — we run all three.

Pick your format

Option 1 · The classic

Order form

$4.00 a bag to your group

40% · nothing up front · no minimum

  1. We send order forms, paper or digital.
  2. Sellers collect orders over one to three weeks.
  3. Send us the tally — we ship free in two weeks.
  4. Sort the delivery, hand it out, settle up.

The catch: it arrives in bulk, so your group spends an evening dividing it up and every buyer needs a second visit.

Option 2 · New for 2026

In hand

$3.75 a bag to your group

37.5% · $75 a case of 12 · four-case minimum

  1. Count your sellers — one case of 12 each.
  2. Pay up front. We ship free, usually within a week.
  3. Hand out the cases with a tally sheet.
  4. Sellers knock, sell and hand it over on the spot.

The catch: the cases are yours once they ship, so order one per seller rather than guessing high.

Option 3 · Both together

In hand + order forms

$3.75 + $4.00

a bag in hand, plus a bag on the form

  1. Each seller carries a case of two flavours.
  2. Those sell at the door, on the spot.
  3. Orders taken on the form for every other flavour.
  4. One shipment at the end for the ordered bags.

Why it raises more: the bag in your hand closes the sale, and the form catches everyone who wants a different flavour or wants to stock up.

Not sure? Option 1 pays the most per bag and risks nothing. Option 2 is the fastest — no forms, no waiting, no sorting. Option 3 sells the most bags, and suits groups with confident sellers who don't mind explaining two things at one door. Ring Joanne and she'll tell you straight.

What could your group raise?

Bags sold Looks like Order form In hand
48 · 4 cases A handful of keen sellers — our in-hand minimum $192 $180
120 · 10 cases A small team, one case each $480 $450
240 · 20 cases A full minor-hockey roster or a dance class $960 $900
360 · 30 cases A school club or a big travel team $1,440 $1,350
1,000 A whole-school campaign $4,000 $3,750

Running both together lands between the two columns — you keep $3.75 on the bags sold from the case and $4.00 on everything ordered. It usually beats either one on its own simply because more bags move. One case per seller is the whole formula: twelve bags is one or two evenings of door knocking, not a season-long commitment. Count the kids who'll actually sell; that's your number. Nevaeh's School ran two projects of about 200 bags each and sold out in roughly six hours each time.

Flavours

Two line-ups for your order form. Pick the one that suits your group.

Option 1 · Six flavours

Soft Beef Jerky

Original · Honey Garlic · Teriyaki · Dill Pickle · Black Pepper · Habanero Hot

Fewer choices means faster order forms and a much easier sort at the end. Best for first-time fundraisers.

Option 2 · The full range

Nine jerky flavours, plus four Charcuterie Bites

Soft Beef Jerky

Teriyaki · Maple · Black Pepper · Dill Pickle · Chipotle Lime · Habanero Hot · Original · Taco · Honey Garlic

Charcuterie Bites — beef and pork jerky

Chorizo · Pepperoni · Landjäger · Bratwurst

More variety means bigger average orders. Best for repeat groups and bigger targets.

In-hand cases are any flavour you like — twelve bags a case, minimum 4 cases, one flavour per case. If you're running both formats together, pick the two flavours your sellers will carry and put the rest on the form.

Straight answers

What does it cost us to start?

On the order form, nothing — you only owe us after the orders are collected and delivered. On the in-hand format you buy the cases up front, $75 each, with a four-case minimum. Running both together, you pay only for the cases your sellers carry.

Do we get stuck with leftover stock?

Not on the order form — we make exactly what your group sold. In-hand cases are yours once they ship, which is why we say one case per seller instead of guessing high. Sell out and you can simply order more.

How does the money work?

Your sellers collect from buyers however suits your group. You settle up with us by cheque or e-transfer — after delivery on the order form, and before we ship on the in-hand cases.

Who pays for shipping?

We do, anywhere in Alberta, on all three formats.

How long does it take?

Order form: two weeks from your final tally, after however long you choose to sell. In hand: usually a week to arrive, then most groups are done in a weekend.

How do we run both at once?

Each seller carries product from the flavours ordered and an order form for the rest. They sell what's in the bag on the spot and write down anything else the buyer wants. You send us the tally at the end and we ship the ordered bags in one delivery.

How long does the jerky keep?

Twelve months from the production date printed on the bag. Store it somewhere cool and dry — not in a hot vehicle, and not in the freezer.

Who can run this?

Alberta schools and groups. Sports teams, dance and cheer, ringette, hockey, soccer, gymnastics, skating clubs, school councils, cadets, 4-H, band programs, church and community groups. If you're raising money in Alberta, you qualify.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. We take a limited number of groups each week and the autumn and late-winter windows fill first.
